Do I have to sign up for a minimum number of shifts?

 The simple answer is no! Once you’re onboarded onto the WerkWeek platform you can choose shifts whenever you like. Work one shift per month or choose a shift every day, the flexibility of WerkWeek allows you to work around your personal schedule. With no minimum obligations.

We want to ensure all technicians and medical assistants on the WerkWeek platform are qualified and experienced professionals. Once you sign up, we’ll complete a video interview, including a review of your relevant work history and comfort with patient workups and charting. Our physician partners rely on our teammates to bring the skills and experience necessary to support patient flow. We’ll review your skillset and credentials/certifications that highlight your ability to support our physician partners.

WerkForce is our name for a pool of available technicians who have experience working in a particular office. WerkWeek partners with our physicians to provide opportunities for technicians to learn the workflows, office layout, and physician preferences on days when volumes are moderate. Similar to a live training course. This helps designate a group of technicians who are fully prepared to fill shifts in the future. Providers can post shifts on WerkWeek as available for any pre-qualified technician or specified for their proprietary WerkForce. You can choose to join as many (or as few!) Werkforce’s as you’d like.

If you’re not part of that clinic’s WerkForce, one of our onboarding teammates will reach out prior to the shift to provide an overview of the office and patient flows. We want you to be comfortable walking into the office to support the physicians with their schedule. We also work with the physicians to provide you with insights into their preferences and typical routines.

 

We process payroll twice per month, you’ll receive payment for your shift in the very next pay period! We manage and process all payments and deposit the funds directly into your account. We also provide opportunities for cash bonuses for technicians that regularly choose shifts.

Of course! WerkWeek is designed to be a platform that brings together physicians with technician and medical assistant resources. We’re a partner in the industry and would be thrilled if we could provide an avenue for one of our teammates to find full-time work with a physician partner.
